Albany & Rensselaer County, NY — Capital Region
I don't fit in one box, so I stopped trying. I make things with my hands, fix things with a wrench, and invite people along for the ride.
The short version
I'm Gino — online as Ep2Art, sometimes signed EPII or Gene on older work going back to 1991. I'm based in the Capital Region, splitting time between Albany, Rensselaer County, and studio work that often ties back to Troy.
I call myself an artistic engineer because that's what it feels like: half invention, half craft. Paintings on canvas, scrap-metal sculpture, giant mushroom builds, leaf-print series, welded nut-and-bolt figures, 3D-printed pieces, and whatever the next idea demands. If I can sketch it, weld it, pour it, print it, or hang it on a wall — I'm interested.
This site is my studio out loud. The gallery is organized by album. The live stream is basically my life on camera — studio sessions, late nights, movie nights with the chat room rolling. The shop covers commissions, Crafts by Randi, and the 3D Print Shop. Genius Repair is the shop side — small engines, automotive work, honest diagnostics. Drop-offs welcome; equipment pickup & delivery $50–$75, automobiles discussed — Capital Region only.
What I make
- Paintings & mixed media — Marbling, cyan-line geometry, leaf prints, abstracts like Chaos of the Mind and Galexy Far, and collaborations with other Capital Region artists.
- Sculpture & immersive builds — Papier-mâché and resin work at festival scale (Mushy-Lisa), scrap-metal rifles, welded character figures, and installation pieces with Imaginarium Albany and the Misfit Collective.
- 3D printing — Figurines, vases, décor, and custom requests printed on a Flashforge Adventurer 5M.
- Sketchbook & lettering — Pencil studies, graffiti-influenced letterforms, and seasonal pieces — see the Sketches album.
- Repair & fabrication — Small engines, brakes, exhaust, NYS pre-inspections, and one-off mechanical builds through Genius Repair.

Community & what's next
I built the Ep2Art Misfit Collective for people who want more than a scroll — live chat, gallery comments, movie nights, and a growing crew of artists, makers, and fixers in the region. Membership is free; your screen name shows up when you're watching live so I know you're in the room.
I'm collaborating with folks like Imaginarium Albany, supporting local friends through the collective page, and always looking for the next build — whether that's a canvas, a weld, a stream, or a custom commission.
